Compliance Officer

ROLE PROFILE


The successful candidate will work closely with and support the Compliance Team. A large part of the role will be to support and drive a programme that reviews and monitors the business's compliance and quality environment. This will involve improving the overall business processes, operations and contributing to the reduction of risk. It will also involve liaising with insurers in representing issues on behalf of Quote Devil Insurance to negotiate resolutions.


The role is full-time and based in Co Dublin with a hybrid working model after training is completed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Monitoring Procedures – Ensuring reporting, feedback and coaching to develop, maintain and improve call quality.
  • Record and report on each agent’s quality and efficiency in accordance with procedures and report on trends/calibration of findings.
  • Complete insurer audits, assurance testing and internal monitoring programme including file reviews, logging and reporting issues identified.
  • Follow up with Managers/Team Leads on rectification of issues identified in audits, monitoring, call retrievals, complaints.
  • Investigate complaints and identify corrective measures ensuring complaints are responded to with the required timelines – terms of business, CPC, FSPO.
  • Analyse complaint trends and recommend corrective actions; monitor and test their implementation.
  • Deal with GDPR and Data Protection related issues regarding processing Rights Requests, investigating and reporting breaches, updating and issuing revised procedures and policies as required.
  • Use exception reporting to identify potential issues and report to managers for rectification; report volumes and issues reported/fixed weekly/monthly. As required process changes and fixes.
  • Implement and maintain a robust compliance monitoring plan.
  • Advise, monitor and educate the business on and implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Review and update the compliance policies and procedures at least annually and in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the business and liaise with the Head of Compliance and/or legal advisers on the necessary course of action.
  • Contribute to regular, timely and relevant reporting to Head of Compliance, CEO and the board.
  • Support the delivery of compliant processes and procedures to ensure that sound and responsible business practices are incorporated into the operations of the business.
  • Ensure regulatory issues (breaches or otherwise) are logged, dealt with, escalated and reported to Managers/Directors of the relevant business areas.
  • Carry out other functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Holder of an Insurance qualification (ACII, CIP or APA) or Compliance qualification (LCI).

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance role or in a general insurance broking environment.
  • In depth knowledge of General Insurance Products and Relay operating system.
